Shirley Shen is an emerging Canadian painter who currently resides in Brooklyn, NY. She currently studies at the New York Art Students League and has studied at the New York Studio School

With a bias towards plein air and intuitive painting, Shirley integrates Buddhist beliefs around interconnectedness and impermanence into her artistic practice.

Shirley is inspired by the artistic works and approaches of Fairfield Porter, Richard Diebenkorn, Cecily Brown, Pierre Bonnard, and Zoey Frank.
